Staff Augmentation and Dedicated Teams

Extend your team with senior people, not a faceless body shop

When your roadmap is bigger than your headcount, you can wait months to hire or gamble on a freelancer. We give you a third option: senior engineers and designers from our own delivery bench who plug into your stack, your stand-ups, and your hours, and who you can scale up or down as the work changes.

The hiring math rarely favors the founder

A senior engineer can take three to six months to source, interview, and onboard, and recruiter fees often run a fifth of first year salary before that person writes a line of code. If the fit is wrong, you absorb the cost of unwinding it and start over. For a startup with a launch date, that timeline is the problem.

Marketplaces solve the speed but trade away the things that matter on a product team: shared accountability, code you can stand behind, and someone to call when a person disappears mid sprint. Staff augmentation done properly closes the gap. You add experienced people now, keep them only as long as the work needs them, and there is a company on the hook for the result.

Roles we staff

The people a product team actually runs on

Bring one specialist onto an existing squad, or stand up a full pod. Every role below is staffed from people who have already shipped for our clients.

Frontend and full stack engineers

React, Next.js, Vue, TypeScript, and the rest of a modern web stack. They commit to your repo, open PRs, and review code the way your own engineers do.

Mobile engineers

Native iOS and Android plus React Native and Flutter, for teams shipping to the App Store and Play Store on a release cadence.

Backend and platform engineers

Node, Python, PHP, and Laravel, plus API design, database work, and cloud infrastructure on AWS or your provider of choice.

Product and UX designers

Designers who work in your Figma files, run usability passes, and hand off specs your engineers can build from without guesswork.

QA and automation

Manual and automated testing folded into your pipeline, so quality is checked before a build reaches your users rather than after.

A pod with a tech lead

When you would rather hand off a whole slice of the roadmap, we assemble engineers, design, and QA under a lead who reports into your team.

They work the way your team already works

Augmented staff use your repositories, your project board, your design files, and your chat. They join the same ceremonies as your employees, from stand-up and sprint planning to retros and reviews. Reporting lines are whatever you set: your engineering manager runs them directly, or our tech lead does and reports up to you. Behind every engagement sits an OgreLogic delivery manager who watches quality, handles holiday cover and any staffing change, and gives you one point of contact when something needs sorting on our side.

How it works

From a gap on your team to people shipping in it

A clear path from the first call to a team member committing code, with the freedom to change the shape of the team as you go.

  1. 01

    Scope the gap

We start with a call about what you are building, the skills you are short on, and the seniority the work actually needs. If a managed project fits better than added headcount, we say so here.

  2. 02

    Shortlist and interview

We put forward people from our own delivery bench whose experience matches your stack. You interview them, review their work, and pick. Nobody joins your team without your sign off.

  3. 03

    Ramp into your workflow

New team members get added to your repo, your board, your Slack, and your stand-up. We pair them with someone who knows the codebase so the first commits land in days, not weeks.

  4. 04

    Build alongside your team

They work your hours, hit your sprint goals, and stay accountable to your leads. An OgreLogic delivery manager checks in on quality and unblocks anything on our side.

  5. 05

    Flex with the roadmap

Push a launch and you can add capacity. Hit a quieter stretch and you can scale back. We handle the staffing changes so you are not stuck paying for a bench you do not need.

A scenario we see often

A seed stage SaaS founder in Austin had product market fit and a signed enterprise pilot due in ten weeks, but a team of three engineers and no mobile experience. Hiring two native developers in time was not realistic, and the pilot required an iOS app. We placed a senior iOS engineer and a React backend engineer from our Noida bench, both overlapping the founder's mornings for stand-up and review. They joined the existing GitHub repo and Linear board in the first week, paired with the in house lead, and shipped the pilot build with a day to spare.

Who this is for

Staff augmentation fits if you

Have a roadmap bigger than your headcountNeed a skill your team is missing for one pushCannot wait months on a senior hireGot burned by a marketplace freelancerWant to scale capacity up and back down

Added capacity is not a fix for an unclear plan. If what you need is a managed project with us owning the outcome, we will tell you that on the first call.

Frequently asked questions

They are the same engineers and designers who deliver OgreLogic's own client projects, working from our delivery center under our management. You get a vetted professional with a company behind them, not a contractor you found on a marketplace and have to hope works out.

Everyone on our bench has already passed our internal hiring bar and shipped real work for our clients. For your role specifically, we shortlist on relevant stack experience, then you interview and review portfolios or code samples before deciding. You never inherit someone you have not approved.

Yes. Our Noida delivery team commonly holds four to five hours of daily overlap with US time zones, which covers stand-up, live reviews, and pairing. Our Austin and Toronto staff give you full North American hours when a role calls for it. We set the overlap when we scope the engagement.

You do. Work is done in your repositories and accounts, and the contract assigns all intellectual property to you. When someone rolls off, access is revoked and the knowledge stays documented in your systems.

That flexibility is the whole point. Engagements are monthly, you add seats when the roadmap demands it, and you give notice to reduce. There is no long recruiting cycle to grow and no severance to shrink.

Your call. Most clients manage augmented staff directly as part of their own team. If you would rather hand off a workstream, we provide a tech lead and an OgreLogic delivery manager and own the output against goals you set.
