Background
gene Decode and its sister brand, Blessed For Service, publish a steady stream of long-form video, livestreams, and written material to a paying subscriber base. They needed it delivered the way a modern membership platform does, on their own branded domains, with the client owning the setup rather than renting someone else's. OgreLogic has been their development and maintenance partner since 2024.
The challenge
This is a complex build, not a brochure site. It runs live streaming and a large library of on-demand video, gated so only paying members can watch, plus subscriptions and billing, a community section with member comments and moderation, large-file video storage, and a question-and-answer workflow for the team. In the client's own words, their site is one of great complexity, and before OgreLogic they had nothing but problems.
What we built and maintain
OgreLogic designed, built, and maintains both platforms:
- genedecode.org and blessedforservice.org, two membership video sites on the client's own domains.
- Live streaming plus on-demand video, with member-only access so only paying subscribers can play.
- Paid subscriptions and billing, a community and comments section, and an internal question-and-answer workflow for the team.
- Large-file video handling and ongoing maintenance, fixes, and renewals under a yearly plan.
The result
Two complex membership platforms that work, owned by the client and kept running by OgreLogic year over year. As the client put it in a five-star review, OgreLogic solved the difficult code problems, got the site functioning, and saved them a large amount on previous plugins.
