Background
Run by Jerry and Shari Steele, Steele Boys Bail Bonds has served the Panama City area for years, with statewide Florida coverage, 24/7 agent availability, and a string of Best of Bay wins. Bail work runs on paperwork and regular check-ins, and the team wanted to move that off paper and phone calls and into an app their clients could use from anywhere.
The challenge
When someone or their loved one has just been arrested, the process has to be fast and simple. Clients released on bond also have to check in on a schedule and keep their paperwork in order. The app had to make all of that easy during a stressful time, and it had to deliver the information straight to the Steele Boys team without adding work on their end or requiring them to log into yet another system.
What we built
OgreLogic designed and built the Steele Boys Bail Bonds app for iOS and Android, with the features the business actually runs on:
- A check-in feature, so clients out on bond can check in from the app on schedule and send their court date, address, and details straight to the company.
- Digital indemnitor and defendant forms that clients fill in on their phone and sign electronically through DocuSign, replacing printed paperwork.
- In-app messaging that routes a client's check-in and questions directly to the company's email, so the team does not have to log in anywhere to receive them.
- Clear ways to reach the business, reflecting its 24/7 agent availability and statewide Florida coverage.
We also handled the full launch, including Apple Developer and Google Play enrollment, the store listings, and review.
The result
Steele Boys Bail Bonds went live on the App Store with a single, simple app for the part of the job that used to mean phone calls and paperwork: checking in, signing forms, and reaching an agent. Clients handle it from their phones, and the information lands with the team automatically.
